From Edinburgh Waverley Station/Princess Street exit (driving and walking)

1. Exit the station via Waverley Steps onto Princess Street 2. Continue onto Waterloo place (A1) turning left onto Leith Street (A900). 3. At Traffic lights outside Starbucks please walk 100 meters down Leith Street and you will see SIXT located within the Omni Centre.

From Edinburgh Waverley Station Carlton Road Exit (walking directions)

When you arrive at Waverley Train Station please follow the signs for 'Way Out to Calton Road' which is situated next to platforms 2 and 3. 1. Go up the steps and out of the station 2. Walk under the arch bridge and continue 0.2 miles until you reach Starbucks Coffee shop on Leith Street and cross the road via the pedestrian crossing. 3. Walk 100 meters down Leith Street until you reach the entrance for The Omni Centre. The branch will be directly in front of you. The journey will take you approximately 5 minutes.

From Edinburgh Bus Station

1. Exit Bus station via Eldon Street, walk down turning right onto York Place. 2. Continue onto York place and take a slight right on to Broughton Street (B901). 3. At the roundabout take the second exit on to Leith Street (A900). 4. At traffic lights turn left onto Greenside Row. 5. The branch is located in the Q-parks on your left hand side. Street Level entrances to car park (for pedestrians) You can access the car park via 3 street level entrances: The corner of Leith Street & Greenside Row (at the traffic lights) Inside the Omni Centre Carlton Square building entrance (opposite pedestrian crossing) Please take the lift from any of these entrances to -3. You will find the branch at the front of the car park next to the entrance/exit barriers and the Q-park office.

From Queen Street

1. Head East on Queen Street, 2. Continue onto York place and take a slight right on to Broughton Street (B901). 3. At the roundabout take the second exit on to Leith Street (A900). 4. At traffic lights turn left onto Greenside Row. The branch is located in the Q-parks on your left hand side.

Our Edinburgh City Centre car hire is in the Omni Q-Parks on Greenside Row, next to Waverley Station. Within sight of Balmoral Hotel, it's only about 300 yards from Princes Street, the main shopping boulevard. From the station, take the Calton Road exit, under the arch and turn right into Greenside Row. The car park entrance is on your left, five minutes from the station. From Edinburgh Bus Station turn right into York Place, onto Broughton Street till the roundabout, then onto Leith Street, and turn left into Greenside Row. You can return your car to the same place when leaving Edinburgh.

First of all Sebastian was a star. First time renting a car in the UK. He made the rental experience very easy. The office upstairs was closed but they had their office in the basement (-3). No waiting. Completely hassle free. Booked a VW polo. Got upgraded to a Peugeot 3008 hybrid. Amazing car! Drove it all the way to Slains Castle and around Aberdeenshire with no issues. Booked the full coverage so we had no worries. Highly recommend them. We are coming back in March and booking them again!

I reserved the wrong vehicle through a third party (better to go to Sixt directly) and then needed to switch vehicles for more luggage space; a real nuisance. The Waverly Place Sixt folk were super friendly and patient, able to clear everything up and sent us on our merry way happy campers!
