Harstad Evenes Airport

Officially known by the name Harstad/Narvik Airport, Evenes, this airport is a major transportation hub for the region of Nordland in northern Norway. The airport was initially planned in 1960 however it took thirteen years for the idea to become a reality. The airport opened in 1973 and has been serving the region ever since. Alongside the civilian airport is the Evenes Air Station; this is a vital link in the Norwegian military's defence infrastructure.
