The SIXT branch is located in the Robinigstrasse 10, in the north of Salzburg. We recommend that you travel with public transportation, there are no parking options for private cars at our branch. In the surrounding of the branch there is a strict parking prohibiotion.
With public transportation
Use bus line no. 2 from the main train station towards Obergnigl and exit at the stop Robinigstrasse.
By car
From Vienna/Budapest take motorway A1, from Munich take motorway A8, and from Villach take motorway A10. In all cases exit Salzburg-Nord, take the B150 into the city, turn left into Sterneckstrasse, turn right after 200 metres into Robinigstrasse. From downtown: the SIXT branch is approx. 3 km away, take federal street B1.

There is no possibility to park private cars directly or nearby our branch. We urgently advice to arrive by public transportation.

Cars: Please park your rental vehicle opposite the SIXT branch on one of the marked SIXT parking spaces at the Penny parking lot.

In my case it was very good experience. But keep in mind that in my case was included loss damage waiver for collision damages, scratches insurance. So all was good. I pickup my rent car (VW T-Cross) from the Saltsburg and returned can few days after in the Vienna Airport.
During the pick up of the car, agent tell me that checking the car dents and scratches not relevant for me due to that I have insurance for this kind of the incidents.
Return experience was fast but without of damage checking by the stuff, just park car in returning aria and leave keys inside, that's all. Soon I was received SMS with informed me that car is returned.
In conclusions I recommending to take insurance for scratches during rent period and all will be fine.

Went there for exchanging a car picked up from Freilassing. The person at the branch was very helpful and willing to help us however possible. Unfortunately there were no cars that suited our needs but they called another nearby branch and helped us get a car.
